A Cherokee County man was recently arrested in Lyerly, Georgia, after a traffic stop by a Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office Deputy.
According to that Sheriff’s Office report, a deputy was sitting near the intersection of Alpine Avenue and Highway 114, when he saw a pickup truck with a broken windshield pull onto the highway. The deputy stated the broken windshield was obstructing the driver’s view.
He pulled the vehicle over at the Lyerly Pure Stop – and at that point, he recognized that the driver had a warrant for probation.
Cody Wayne Aycock, 28 of Gaylesville, was placed under arrest and charged with probation violation for possession of meth, windshield requirement violation, driving without a valid license and having an expired tag.
