One Person Injured In Jet-Ski Accident In Leesburg

A female was injured after crashing the jet-ski she was driving into the Leesburg Bridge on Sunday evening. According to reports the jet-ski struck a concrete pillar before nearly sinking. A boater nearby picked up the injured victim and carried to a pier where they were met by firefighters, rescue personnel and paramedics. 

She was transported to the hospital by Floyd EMS for treatment of what appeared to be minor injuries. 

The Leesburg Police and Fire Departments, Floyd EMS, Alabama Marine Patrol Officers, and Rescue Squad Personnel responded to the scene.
