The 1st annual Colby Slayton “I Got This” Softball Tournament is set to take place on Saturday, September 12th beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the White Oaks Complex in Gadsden. 

The entry fee is $250 and all proceeds will go to the Colby Slayton Memorial Scholarship Fund.

Colby was tragically killed in a vehicle accident on May 15, 2019 on his way to school, he was a Junior at Spring Garden High School. He played varsity football and baseball for 3 years. He made All County in football is sophomore and junior year. He made ALL Region his junior year in football. In baseball Colby made All County his sophomore and junior year. Junior year he was was selected All County MVP. Sophomore year he made All State Short Stop. Junior year he made All State Pitcher. Prom Prince his Junior year.

Colby has a heart for people, especially the younger kids! He always made a point to make sure everyone knew they were loved and cared for.
