Willia Dean Langston, age 84 of Centre, passed away Saturday, August 29th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11:AM Friday, September 4th at Alexis Baptist Church, with Bro. Herbert Reid officiating; burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7:PM Thursday, at the funeral home. The body will lie-in-state one hour prior to the service at the church.
Pallbearers include Bobby Mintz, Kevin Porter, Dewayne Greg, Johnny Amons, Joe Carpenter, Jimmy Dean, Scott Walker.
Survivors include daughters, Theresa L. Smith and Gena Kay Langston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James F. Langston; son, Terry Mack Langston; daughter, Rebecca Dean; brothers, Darrell McHugh, Jerry McHugh and a sister, Betty McHugh.
Mrs. Langston was a native of Cherokee County, the daughter of the late Clarence and Pauline Godfrey McHugh, she was a school bus driver and was a member of Alexis Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Alexis Baptist Church or Howell’s Cemetery Fund or the family will accept flowers.
