Any household seeking exemptions from the payment of fees for garbage collection for the year 2021 must sign up.

Applications will be taken EACH WEDNESDAY – starting September 2nd – through October 28th at the Cherokee County Health Department, between the hours of 8:15 – 11:00am, and 1:00 – 4:00pm weekdays.

  After October 28th an appointment will be required to submit an application and the signup period will end December 31st (2020).

Social Security or Social Security Disability, must be THE ONLY INCOME in the household to receive this exemption!

A notarized affidavit will be filled out.  Proof of current social security benefits AND current address (utility bill or rental agreement), along with a photo ID must be provided.
