Cherokee County Man Facing Controlled Substance Charges in Northwest Georgia

Floyd County Police stop a motorcycle on Shorter Avenue in Rome for a damaged tail light Tuesday and end up arresting a Cedar Bluff, Alabama man on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail reports Byron Scott Young, age 50 had a clear bag containing a white, powdery substance and a glass smoking device.

He was charged with the Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug-related Objects, Driving without Insurance, Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License, and also having an Improper Tail Light.
