The Georgia State Patrol continues to investigate an auto accident which claimed the life of a 38 year old Lyerly man last Sunday morning (August 9th).
According to the report from the Georgia State Patrol Post in Rome, around 7:30am, a 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo was traveling northbound on Old Holland Road when it veered off of the roadway onto the east shoulder; the vehicle then traveled across the road – where it struck an embankment and overturned, partially ejecting the driver, Christopher Hines.
Hines sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
What led to the crash remains under investigation by the GSP.
