A Cherokee County (Alabama) man was jailed on drug charges after being pulled over for a traffic violation in Floyd County, Georgia.
Robert Russell Tebow, age 41 of Centre, was recently stopped for driving without a tag light in Cave Spring; according to reports he gave officers his name while at the same time giving them a drivers license with a completely different name.
Officers called for the K-9 unit and the subsequent search of Tebow’s vehicle reportedly led to the discovery of a glass smoking pipe with methamphetamine, Oxycodone, and a number of firearms.
Tebow was taken into custody on charges of possession of meth and the possession of drug related objects, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, driving on a suspended license, the possession of a schedule II controlled substance, giving false information to police, operating an unregistered vehicle, driving without insurance, concealing the identity of a vehicle, driving without a licensee in possession and no tag light.
