An Etowah County man was recently picked up here in Cherokee County on charges which stemmed from a high speed chase with authorities in Floyd County, Georgia, back on March 19th.
According to Floyd County Jail reports, Willie Tyron Davis, age 33 of Attalla, is charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude, after racing away from police in the Hall’s Valley Road area.
Police say Davis swerved into the oncoming lane of traffic putting other motorists in danger during the pursuit. Davis was also charged with misdemeanor driving without a license and following too closely.
