Cherokee County Currently Has 33 Active COVID-19 Cases

The Cherokee County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security has released the latest COVID-19 figures for Cherokee County. The updated report was released on Saturday.

To date there have been a total of 265 confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Cherokee County. There are currently only 33 active cases.

There has been a total of 224 presumed recoveries and a total of 8 deaths. In the last two weeks there have been a total of 75 positive cases reported.

Local numbers are released by the EMA Office weekly.

Statewide, the Alabama Department of Public Health figures released Monday (August 10th) show an increase of 1,665 cases over Sunday, which brings the state’s running total to 99,390 – with the death toll from COVID-19 climbing to a total of 1,733.

The total number of people, who at one point had to be hospitalized, stands at 11,633.

The number of presumed recoveries statewide currently stands at 37,923.
