Vehicle Stolen In Chattooga County, Georgia Recovered In DeKalb County, Alabama

A vehicle stolen in Chattooga County, Georgia over the weekend has now been recovered in DeKalb County, Alabama.

According to reports from the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office – a Gaylesville resident was shopping at Lucky’s Supermarket and had left the keys in his 2002 Chevrolet pickup truck. 

The pickup had a trailer that was loaded with a zero-turn lawnmower and a push-mower – and when the man came back outside he discovered that his truck had been stolen.

Responding deputies reviewed video footage from the supermarket, and determined that a white male had gotten out of another vehicle that pulled up at Lucky’s, and climbed into the victim’s truck – then drove away.

According to that sheriff’s office report, the stolen vehicle was recovered in DeKalb County, however no additional information is being released at this time.
