A two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Marshall County claimed the life of a Boaz man.

According to a news release which was issued by Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Public Information Officer, Senior Trooper Derek Campbell – Robert Earl Harris, age 56, was killed when the 1995 Ford F150 he was driving crossed the centerline and hit a 2006 Freightliner tractor trailer head-on.

That wreck took place at approximately 8:50am on Alabama Highway 75 five miles south of Albertville.

Harris was pronounced dead at the scene.

That wreck remains under investigation by Alabama State Troopers.
