Little information is known at this time however WEIS Radio News has learned that several departments including the Cherokee County Rescue Squad and Floyd/Cherokee EMS, along with the Ellisville Fire Department – responded to reports of a female kayaker overturning on Terrapin Creek Sunday afternoon. 

That call went out at approximately 1:30, w/the victim being pulled from the water shortly thereafter.

No additional information has yet been made available.

A 21 year old male was also reportedly injured over the weekend during a fall at Cherokee Rock Village; Floyd/Cherokee EMS was dispatched to the scene. 

That occurred around 6:30 Saturday evening – no details have been made available.
