The Cherokee County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security released the updated COVID-19 figures for Cherokee County on Friday afternoon.

Thus far there have been a total of 119 cases, of those 57 currently remain active. 55 cases have recovered are co longer considered infectious. Cherokee County has seen a total of 7 illness related deaths from COVID.

In the last two weeks there have been 47 positive tests returned out of 473 tested over the same time period. There have been a total of 1,638 people tested in Cherokee County.

Cherokee County has two locations offering testing – the County Health Department, at 877 Cedar Bluff Road in Centre, and Main Street Urgent Care, 1925 West Main Street in Centre.
