Two Vehicle Accidents Reported In Cherokee County On Saturday

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency reports two accidents in Cherokee County on Saturday – no one was injured in either mishap.

The first occurred on Alabama Highway 9 north at the intersection with Highway 35 at Fort Crowe Fireworks at 5:30 p.m. involving a 2003 Jeep, the male driver listed as a resident of Piedmont was not injured. The other vehicle involved was a 2010 Mercedes and the female driver listed as a resident of Rome was not injured.

The Cedar Bluff Fire Department and Floyd EMS were among those who responded to that scene.

A second accident was reported just after 7:00 on Highway 9 south involving a 2016 Jeep being driven by a male resident of Piedmont. According to reports, the vehicle left the roadway and ended up in the yard of a nearby residence before catching fire. Troopers say the driver was not injured.

Ellisville Firefighters in addition to Alabama State Troopers responded.
