On Tuesday morning Alabama Governor Kay Ivey held a News Conference to announce that she is extending the state’s “Safer-at-Home” order –
She went on to say this:
Up until now, the Health Order has been issued through Dr. Harris’s independent statutory authority as State health officer. The new proclamation makes clear that the order will now be adopted through Governor Ivey acting under the Emergency Management Act.
In virtually all other respects, the health order will remain the same.
