Randolph County Accident Claims Life of Roanoke Man Over the Weekend

A Randolph County man died Sunday as the result of being involved in an auto accident on U.S. 431.

Timothy Andrew Holliday, 37 of Roanoke, was fatally injured when the 2008 Nissan Altima he was driving went off the roadway and struck a tree at the 175 mile marker at 6:25am.  Troopers stated Holliday was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of that accident remains under investigation.
