One Person Airlifted For Treatment Following Two Car Crash In Centre

One person was airlifted for treatment following a two vehicle collision on Northwood Drive at the intersection with Commerce Street in front of American Apparel on Wednesday afternoon.

Centre Police, Centre Fire, Rescue Squad personnel, Floyd Cherokee EMS Major Andy Fairel, Piedmont Rescue Medics and Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office personnel responded to the scene.

The driver of a Nissan pickup truck had to be extricated by Rescue personnel and Firefighters prior to being transported by Piedmont EMS to Floyd-Cherokee Medical Center where they were airlifted to a nearby trauma center.
