According to the Anniston Police Department, a 20-year-old Anniston man was arrested for the murder of 58-year-old Nicola Fantei.
Police said they responded to a call of a man down at a residence in the 1400 block of Leighton Avenue.
When they arrived, officers said Fantei was dead from an apparent stabbing.
Shortly after, the suspect was taken in custody.
Police added they believe the suspect acted alone in the incident, but will not release further details at this time.
