Freddie Mae Harkness age 70 of Centre passed away Thursday June 4th at Floyd Cherokee Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 2 PM Tuesday June 9th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Robert Smith, Rev. Tommy Price, Rev. Neil Starr and Rev. Michael Watters, burial will follow in Howell Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 PM until 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be nephews and Flower Girls will be nieces.

Survivors include daughters, Sherri (William) Dupree of Centre, Donna Jean Huey of Centre; granddaughters, Alexandrea Huey, Kyonna Dupree and Amyia Dupree; great-grandchild, Loftin Reese Dupree; brother, Sylvester Thomas Harkness; sisters, Lillie (Raymond) Cook of Norwalk, Ohio, Murline Harkness Viar of Norwalk, Ohio, Dixie Jackson and Helen Price of Centre, Mary Ruth(Hugh) Huey of Piedmont and Lotasie Starr of Centre.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, James Harkness and Odell

Harkness; sister, Jo Ann Chambers.

Mrs. Harkness was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late Rueben and Florence Reese Harkness and a member of St Mark United Methodist Church.
