- BILLIE RUTH KITCHENS, age 80, of Rome, Ga., passed away Tuesday May 19th at her residence.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Saturday May 23rd at Perry Funeral Home Chapel; burial will follow in Old Nazareth Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. Saturday prior to the service.
Pallbearers include Jordan Bailey, Stuart Bailey, Tyler Bailey, Zach Stamey, Erik Hovda, and James Ashmore.
Survivors include sons Brook Kitchens of Rome, Ga., Jamie (Jane) Kitchens of Rome, Ga.; daughters Pam Waits of Rome, Ga., Suzie (James) Ashmore of Rome, Ga., Robin (Erik) Hovda of Virginia; brother Wayne Doegg of Centre; sister Betty Henderson of Alexander City, Al., 8 grandchildren;10 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Billie was preceded in death by her son Ricky D. Kitchens and by four brothers, five sisters.
Ms. Kitchens was a native of Cherokee County; the daughter of the late Joe and Lucy Prater Doegg, and was of the Baptist faith.
