Death Toll from COVID-19 Cases in Alabama Reaches 450; Confirmed Cases Now Standing at 10,700

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases across the state has now reached 10,700 – with the ADPH COVID-19 Data and Surveillance Dashboard now showing 450 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.

According to those latest Alabama Department of Public Health figures – 1,331 individuals have thus far been hospitalized, and the number tested stands at 138,103

The ADPH also lists Cherokee County as having had a total of 24 confirmed cases out of 447 people being tested.

In surrounding counties confirmed cases are considerably higher than they are locally – but that goes hand-in-hand with a larger number of tests being conducted – however, Cherokee County still has a considerably lower percentage rate than those areas.
