Ethan River Scott Nichols, age 18 of Piedmont has been charged with Murder, in connection with the fatal shooting of 22 year old Dustyn Tyler Qualls during the early morning hours of Sunday. Nichols reportedly turned himself in to Piedmont Police and he’s being held in the Cleburne County Jail with bond set at $150,000.
The Cleburne County Coroner pronounced Qualls dead from a gunshot wound at a home on Cleburne County Road 92 in the Borden Springs community; he was found in his bed.
Nichols’ preliminary hearing is set for June 8th.
