Cherokee Rock Village Planning For A ‘Soft Opening’

Cherokee County Park Board Chairman, Leann Hill, tells WEIS Radio News, plans are underway to open Cherokee Rock Village Park for daytime activities only for now. Park Manager Shannon Mackey said the Park will be open from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. starting on May 15th. Operations will be evaluated on May 30 to determine if full time operations can begin at that time.

Mackey said park employees will work to keep the Bath House Facilities and Play Ground equipment cleaned and sanitized. The main focus is to have the Park available to patrons to enjoy the great outdoors while practicing safe distancing to help protect everyone at the Park including employees. Only one customer inside the Park Store at a time will be allowed during this soft reopening period.

The Cherokee County Park Board and the Park employees invite you for a visit to see what Cherokee Rock Village Park has for you and your family. Cherokee Rock Village Park is located at 2000 County Road 70, Leesburg, Al 35983. For More Info call 256-523-3799.
