Governor Kay Ivey Announces Alabama’s New “Safer-at-Home” Order

Governor Kay Ivey, during a Tuesday morning news conference, introduced Alabama’s new “Safer-at-Home” order:

However, listen closely, that order is NOT all-encompassing by any means.

For example it doesn’t include barber shops/hairstylists and other so-called “close-contact” providers; on the “still-closed” list – entertainment venues, such as night clubs and theaters and athletic facilities and activities such as commercial gyms.

Restaurants and bars will still be limited to take-out, curbside or delivery.

Governor Ivey will reportedly be on a conference call with President Trump this afternoon to discuss a number of possible ways to re-open the economy; the call, hosted by the White House, will include a number of governors.
