The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 4,903 – with a total of 113 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health – there are currently 160 reported deaths in Alabama – with 47 of those remaining under investigation. 641 people have been hospitalized and the number tested stands at 45,712
Cherokee County has 12 confirmed cases out of 104 people tested – while in DeKalb County there have been 548 tested with 42 positive results; following 733 being tested in Etowah County there are 98 confirmed cases and Calhoun County now has 72 confirmed cases after a total of 721 people being tested.
