The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 3,953 – with a total of 73 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health – there are currently 114 reported deaths in Alabama – with 41 of those remaining under investigation. 493 people have been hospitalized and the number tested stands at 33,050.
Cherokee County has 9 confirmed cases out of 76 tested meanwhile in DeKalb County there have been 268 tested with 29 positive results; following 536 being tested in Etowah County there are 78 confirmed cases there and Calhoun County now has 62 confirmed cases after a total of 489 people being tested.
