Lori Harris with the Children’s Advocacy Center Discusses Child Abuse Awareness Month with WEIS Radio’s Jerry Baker

No matter what we’re dealing with in these trying times, including bouts of severe weather, concerns associated with coronavirus, and the many other things we all deal with on a day-to-day basis one thing shouldn’t be forgotten – and that’s the children of Cherokee County.

April is Child Abuse Awareness Month, and WEIS Radio morning show host Jerry Baker had the opportunity to speak with Lori Harris from the Children’s Advocacy Center of Cherokee County via telephone regarding their on-going efforts to help the victims of child abuse:

Unfortunately Ms. Harris was recently informed that some of the federal grants that they’ve received in the past may be cut back over the next couple of years, so community support is becoming more important than ever.
