The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state has now reached 3,803 – with a total of 62 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness.
According to the Alabama Department of Public Health, there are currently 103 reported deaths in Alabama – with 41 of those remaining under investigation. 457 people have been hospitalized and the number tested stands at 28,486.
Cherokee County has 9 confirmed cases out of 73 tested meanwhile in DeKalb County there have been 254 tested with 28 positive results; following 510 being tested in Etowah County there are 78 confirmed cases there and Calhoun County now has 61 confirmed cases after a total of 348 people being tested.
