Inmate Breaks Officer’s Leg During Scuffle at Floyd County Jail

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail is facing additional charges following a scuffle which left an officer with a broken leg.

According to jail records, 23-year old Michelle Cutright-Cox of Taylorsville, while physically resisting, caused the officer’s leg to be injured.  An X-ray confirmed the injury.  Cutright-Cox, who has been in jail since October, was additionally charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer, felony obstruction of officers, and simple battery on a law enforcement officer.
