The number of COVID-19 cases in Alabama has topped 2,500.

According to the Thursday morning, April 9th, data from the Alabama Department of Public Health, 2,547 people in Alabama have now been diagnosed with COVID-19.  A total of 48 deaths have been confirmed to have been the result of the illness.

The ADPH said 333 people have been hospitalized with the virus since March 13th, but that number doesn’t reflect those who have been discharged.
