2,197 Confirmed Cases of COVID-19 Across State as of Tuesday Afternoon; Six Cases in Cherokee County

The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the state reached 2,197 on Tuesday afternoon, with 39 confirmed deaths resulting from the illness – that, according to the ADPH (Alabama Department of Public Health).  There are currently a total of 64 reported deaths in the state with 25 of those remaining under investigation. 

271 people have been hospitalized and the number tested stands at 14,765.

Cherokee County currently has six confirmed cases out of 53 tested, in DeKalb County there have been 159 tested with 14 positive results; meanwhile, following 272 being tested there are 43 confirmed cases in Etowah County and Calhoun County now has 40 confirmed cases.
