Andy Jones Discusses Cherokee County Pre-K Registration on WEIS Radio Morning Show

Pre-K Open Enrollment for the Cherokee County School System is now underway – and will continue through March 10th.

Tuesday WEIS Radio Morning Show Host Jerry Baker welcomed Andy Jones with the Board of Education into the studios to discuss the sign up process:

 

Of course, the obvious question is this – WHY is there a drawing instead of simply accepting everyone that signs up?

 

Bear in mind, Pre-K is NOT required – however for those parents wishing to take advantage of it should their children be selected through the process – the program has proven to be a great stepping stone to success, and it’s FREE:

2020/2021 Pre-K Pre-Registration

Open enrollment for

Cedar Bluff Pre-K, Centre Elementary Pre-K, Cherokee County CDC Pre-K, Gaylesville Pre-K, Sand Rock Pre-K, and Spring Garden Pre-K

will be January 15th – March 10th, 2020.

Children must be four years old by September 1st, 2020.  No five year olds will be accepted.

Registration forms must be completed on-line at https://alprek.asapconnected.com.

The random drawing for the 2020/2021 school year will be March 12th:

Sand Rock School at 8:00am
Gaylesville School at 9:30am
Cedar Bluff School at 11:00am
Spring Garden School at 1:30pm
Centre Elementary and CDC will be at the Board of Education Central Office at 3:00pm
