A Cherokee County man has been charged with second degree Assault in Calhoun County in connection with an incident occurring last November (2019) which involved a deputy.
According to the Anniston Star the arrest warrant for Chadwick Wade Rochester, a resident of Leesburg, age 51, on November 21st, “drove at a high rate of speed,” dragging the deputy behind the vehicle.
Rochester was booked into jail and released on $7,500 bond Tuesday. He is set to appear in court February 13th for a preliminary hearing. Second degree Assault is a Class C felony.
