Car Collides with Tractor Trailer in Front of Berry College Wednesday Morning

A Bartow County woman was hurt in the two-vehicle crash at the entrance of Berry College in Rome on Wednesday.  According to Rome Police, a Hyundai Sonata being driven by Cami Jennings of Cedartown attempted to turn left into the path of an on-coming tractor-trailer, driven by John Fay of Summerville.

The tractor-trailer driver attempted to avoid the collision but the semi struck the car on the passenger side.  Jennings was conscious, alert and talking when transported to the hospital.

The wreck occurred at around 8:00am and impacted traffic during the morning rush.
