A 48 year old Rome man has been charged with Murder, in connection with the death of his three year old grandson.
According to the arrest warrant, Antonio Montez Hudson caused the death of the child back on January 8th of last year (2019) at Ashland Park Apartments by – committing the offense of cruelty to children. Hudson is also charged with two counts of Second Degree Cruelty to Children for failing to provide a safe living environment, and failing to provide medical care for the child in a timely manner.
The warrants didn’t go into specific detail – but Assistant Rome Police Chief Debbie Burnett told the Rome News Tribune the child’s autopsy had revealed “the presence of a controlled substance.”
