DeKalb County Man Arrested in Rome in Connection with Check Forgery Scheme

A DeKalb County, Alabama man has been arrested in Floyd County, Georgia in connection with a check forgery scheme occurring several years ago.

According to Floyd County Jail reports Kenneth Lee Todd, now age 67 of a County Road 788 address in Ider, made out four checks to himself in the amount of $278.43 each during the summer of 2012.  He then cashed them at three different businesses – Kwik Way Food Mart on Calhoun Avenue, the Rock Store on Kingston Highway and at Rick’s Little Garden located on Dean Avenue.

Todd has been charged with four counts of Forgery 4th Degree and four counts of Printing/ Executing/Negotiating Checks Knowing Information is in Error or Fictitious.
