Centre Police Make 12 Drug Arrests In 72 Hours

Four Cherokee County residents were jailed on controlled substance charges following a traffic stop by Centre Police on Tuesday night.

According to Centre Police Chief Kirk Blankenship, Darren Shane Terry, age 23; Christa Stewart Comer, age 40; Melissa Nicole Teague, age 35; and Mable Marie Pangle 19 – all of Leesburg – were each charged with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Terry also had a Bond Revocation.

All four were booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center between 10:00 and 11:00 Tuesday night – where, as of Wednesday, they remained, with bond set at $2,500 each.

Chief Blankenship said that his department has made a total of 12 additional drug arrests over the course of 72 hours.
