A 53 year old Summerville woman has now been charged with murder in connection with a fatal shooting occurring just before the New Year.  Angela Rowland stands charged with the murder of 51 year old Ronald Moates on December 30th, during what is being described as a “physical, domestic dispute”.

The incident reportedly took place late that Monday night, where the pair lived together as a couple, at 152 Kelly Street in Summerville.  Police arrived to find Moates dead. 

Rowland wasn’t taken into custody until Thursday of this week (January 9th), following a report that their investigation failed to substantiate Rowland’s claims that the shooting was in self-defense.

She was booked into the Chattooga County Jail shortly after 3:00pm on the Murder charge – and also faces Aggravated Assault and weapons charges.
