A female pedestrian was transported to the hospital after being struck by a vehicle as she was walking down County Road 71 near County Road 19 in the Mt. Weisner area on Friday night. The Mt. Weisner Fire Department, Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office deputies, Floyd EMS and Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene.
No word as this time concerning the condition of the victim, it appears the driver the vehicle was not injured.
The accident occurred at approximately 9:15 p.m.
