The annual Piedmont Polar Plunge is set for this Saturday. This event will benefit Veneica’s Foundation.
The Piedmont Aquatic Center will be the scene for the Polar Plunge, which organizers hope will become an annual event.
The plunge will take place at 10 a.m. at the center Saturday. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. Fee is $10. T-shirts will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Venecia’s Foundation, named for author and four-time cancer survivor Venecia Benefield Butler, provides support for cancer patients and their families.
