A Boaz man was arrested on controlled substance charges in Cherokee County on Sunday.
Twenty-three year old Jacob Trey Aaron was booked into jail just before 1:00am on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance the Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree and two counts of Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was additionally charged with Resisting Arrest.
He was released shortly before 2:00 that afternoon after making bail of $5,000.
