OSHA Levies Fines Against Dollar Tree Twice in One Month for Safety Issues

The Occupational Safety & Health Administration has now cited Dollar Tree Stores for the second time during the month of December (2019) for safety hazards in an Alabama store. OSHA says that Dollar Tree Stores Inc. exposed employees to safety hazards at its Rainbow Drive store in Rainbow City, with company facing $104,192 in penalties this time around.

According to that citation the company exposed its employees to what is termed “struck-by hazards” by “failing to ensure the stacking of cases of merchandise over eight feet high, in a stable manner.”  OSHA recently fined Dollar Tree $312,576 for conditions they say existed at their Andalusia location.

The company has 15 business days to comply, request a conference, or dispute the findings.
