According to Calhoun County Sheriff Matthew Wade, a Calhoun County high school student was arrested after allegedly bringing a stolen gun to school last Friday (December 13th). An anonymous tip led to the arrest of the sixteen year old Weaver High School student, who was not named. It remains unclear why the pistol was brought on school grounds.
The teenager was arrested and transported to the Coosa Valley Juvenile Detention Center.
The incident remains under investigation.
