Several organizations are joining together to do everything in their power in order to make sure no child in Cherokee County is forgotten this holiday season.

Earlier in the week, WEIS Radio Morning Show Host Jerry Baker welcomed to the studios – Tammy Amos with Grace Pointe Church of God; Captain of Operations for Floyd/Cherokee EMS, Andy Fairel and Jeremy Lee, Fire Chief for the City of Centre, all of whom will be at the Centre Walmart Saturday, collecting toys and clothing for children in need – as well as cash donations.

Remember they’re looking for donations of new, unwrapped toys and clothing must be new with the tags still on.

First responders will have emergency vehicles on display at the Walmart in Centre between the hours of 9:00am and 2:00pm on Saturday; the WEIS Radio Road Crew will also be there.

We urge everyone in the community to help in any way they can this holiday season and do their part to make certain no child is forgotten.
