Heyman Hospice Care at Floyd Prepares Thanksgiving Meals for Families
The office at Heyman HospiceCare at Floyd turned into a humming assembly line on Wednesday as staff and volunteers packaged Thanksgiving dinners for families served by the organization.
The event has become a tradition of servitude and gratitude for all involved.
“This is so amazing,” said the Rev. Jason Jordan, Director of Pastoral Care at Floyd, as he helped pack meals. “This is such a nice way to touch people’s lives.
The workers packed about 70 plates of food, including choices of turkey, ham, dressing, sweet potato soufflé, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn casserole and a variety of others.
