One person was transported to the hospital Friday morning, after a two-vehicle accident on Highway 27 North in Floyd County, Georgia.
According to Floyd County police officers – a black GMC Sierra was in the northbound turn lane attempting to turn left into the Food Lion Shopping Center however the driver failed to yield and the pickup was struck by a southbound red GMC Sierra.
The driver of the red pickup was taken by Redmond EMS to Floyd Medical Center. No information was available regarding the extent of his injuries.
The wreck, which occurred around 8:00am,. closed the southbound lanes of Highway 27 for approximately 30 minutes.
