Mr. “Earl” Aubrey Simpson Sr., age 85 of Gaylesville, passed away Monday, November 11th, 2019 at his home.

Services will be held 12:PM Wednesday, November 13th at Perry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bobby Lemons officiating. Burial will follow at Weiss Lake Memorial Gardens.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM to 12 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will include: Ryan McCoy, Scott Simpson, Jordan Simpson, Tyler Simpson, Cody Simpson, and Dylan Porter.

Honorary Pall Bearers will include: Jimmy Singleton, Terry Singleton, Craig Newman, Randy Chesnut, Roy “Bud” Williamson, Johnny Chandler, Ritchie Smith, Wallace Mobbs, and Nathan Weaver.

He was survived by his children, Susan (Brent) McCoy, Earl (Gay) Simpson Jr, Dennis Simpson, Troy Simpson; Hope (Donny) Porter; brother, Wayne (Christine) Simpson; sisters, JoAnn ( Joe Dean) Smith, Janet (Jack) Renfroe, and Nelta (Douglas) Wood; nine grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; four great-grandsons and one great-grandson due in December; and a host of nieces and nephews remaining.

He was preceded in death by, Lucille, his loving wife of 62 years; parents, Dave and Lottie Simpson; sister, Alma Knight; brothers, Bud Simpson and Jack Simpson.

Mr. Simpson lived most of his life in Gaylesville. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and was of the Methodist faith.
