An Etowah County woman fortunately escaped injury after her vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree alongside Highway 411, between Centre and Fairview, during Wednesday’s rainstorm.
That accident took place just after 2:30pm approximately a mile south of Walmart.
According to the Centre Police Department accident report, the driver, 29 year old Rainbow City resident Mary Phipps, was merely shaken up in the accident.
