The Jackson County Emergency Management Agency has confirmed that Director Felix Jackson has died.

EMA officials say that Jackson suffered a medical emergency on Monday night and passed away at around 10:00 p.m.

In a statement issued on their Facebook page, Jackson County EMA said “Felix felt personally responsible for the safety of the 53,000 residents of Jackson County, and worked tirelessly to do what was best for them. Please keep his family in your prayers in the coming days.”
